Paulding Rotary Club receives District 6900 Governor Jim Squire

The Paulding and Dallas Rotary Clubs were visited by their District 6900 Governor, Jim Squire. Rotary is an international organization that has members and clubs worldwide. While the organization spans the globe, individual clubs operate with much autonomy and conduct their local service programs themselves. Local clubs are divided into districts in which regional leadership works to provide resources and unity as several local clubs may combine resources to achieve certain projects and goals. This year, Mr. Jim Squire is the District 6900 Governor and he has visited our local clubs to discover how we are impacting the local community and if there are any resources and opportunities that the district can provide to us. Additionally, our local club leaders provide feedback to the governor on local endeavors. Both the Paulding and Dallas clubs were excited and honored to receive their guest.
Jim Squire and his wife Donna live in Sandy Springs, where they are active in the Dunwoody United Methodist Church. They have a son and a daughter who have blessed them with three grandsons and two granddaughters. Jim also contributes generously: he is a Major Donor, Paul Harris Society member and Bequest Society member with the Rotary Foundation and a Will Watt Fellow with the Georgia Rotary Student Program. A native of Savannah, Jim is also active in the community. He is past chairman of the Housing Authority of Fulton County and the Private Industry Council of Atlanta. In Sandy Springs, he has served on several boards and commissions, including the Sandy Springs Charter Commission.
