Paulding Rotary welcomed new member Robert Owens this week at the weekly meeting. Robert Owens is a long-time resident of Paulding County. Born in Austell, Ga, Robert attended South Cobb High School and went on to attend West Georgia College in Carrolton, Ga to further his education by studying business administration. Robert has been in the construction industry since 1982 and is currently the vice president and COO of Midsouth Floor Systems, a concrete subcontractor specializing in multi-family apartments, renovations, and commercial projects such as hospitals, and office buildings.
Robert and his wife Tami live in Hiram, GA. They have four children: Shay, Amanda, Shanna, and Vanessa, who was welcomed into Heaven’s gates in 2016. They also have one grandson, Joshua.
Robert is an active member of West Ridge Church in Dallas, Ga where he faithfully serves in a leadership position as Head Coach of guest services. Robert has always had a heart for his community, currently serving as a board member for Wellstar Paulding Hospital Regional Health Board, the Paulding County Fire Advisory Board, the Paulding County Zoning Review Board, the Paulding Public Safety Appreciation Citizen Board, and CAYA (Come As you Are) ministries in Dallas, Ga, a local nonprofit ministry serving the physical and spiritual needs of residents from Paulding County. Robert also leads a small group that meets weekly and volunteers for several other outreach programs such as community makeovers, summer lunch programs, and Hope for Christmas. Robert’s interests and hobbies include reading, camping, fishing, and attending the games of Atlanta’s professional sports teams. Welcome Robert!
