Mikey Curtis of the Paulding County Shrine Club visited the Paulding Rotary club. Mr. Curtis explain some of the histories of the Shrine Club for the Rotarians and updated them with information on their upcoming charity golf tournament.
The Paulding Rotary Club welcomed this year's participants in the RYLA program. RYLA is a Rotary program that offers leadership skills and training to youth. This year's participants were Callie Benson, Addie Thigpen, and Marion Plumley. All of the participants shared their experiences with the club and all agreed that it was a worthwhile program and learned something from the program.
Deputy Terry McAdams, of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division, received the “Officer of the Year” award from the Paulding County Rotary Club at their regularly scheduled meeting. Deputy McAdams was accompanied by Sheriff Gary Gulledge along with his family and supervisors at a luncheon held in his honor.
The Paulding County Rotary Club celebrated its changeover party this past July 10th, 2018. Every year Rotary Clubs change out their president and officers to offer all club members the opportunity to serve. Paulding Rotary new president Ford Thigpen presented John Grant with a plaque commemorating his service as president.
