For 30 years Rotary has been working to eradicate polio. Today the accomplishment of this goal is in sight. Starting in 1979, with vaccinations for 6 million children in the Philippines. Now, Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Pakistan are the only three countries in the world where polio remains an epidemic. Our fight does not end with polio. The Rotary works to improve and expand access to low-cost and free health care in developing areas. We educate and equipped communities all around the world to fight other diseases such as Malaria and HIV/AIDS.
