This week, our club hosted District 6900 Governor, George Granade. We heard a wide range of topics including an important update on District goals for this Rotary year, which include growing membership, supporting education, and the importance of agriculture in our district.
Paulding County Rotary Club welcomed new member Ralph Turner, DBA, MHA, MPA, FACHE. Ralph assumed the responsibilities as the SVP Wellstar, President, Wellstar Paulding Medical Center on May 9, 2022. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital and Executive Director of Patient Support Services for the Cleveland Clinic enterprise. Ralph also served at the University of Wisconsin Health System as Vice President for Facilities, Support, and Emergency Medicine Services (EMS) and at MedStar Washington Hospital Center (2008-12) as Vice President of Facilities and Support Services.
Rep. Gravley spoke on several important legislative topics including medical cannabis for cancer patients, firefighter cancer insurance coverage, and Georgia-Israel economic relation development.
Another load of books for Paulding kids heads out this Wednesday in partnership with CAYA Reconciliation Ministries and Get Paulding Reading. Learning and strong literacy go hand in hand with developing strong academic and leadership skills! Many thanks to all the volunteers that are pitching in for the success of Paulding County students.
